Tell us about your country's datasets? Any highlights, gaps or stories? We'll write a blog post weekly with your input. Can you write a blog post about the state of open data in your region or country? Please contact emma.beer@okfn.org for more information.
What can we do with the data afterwords
Advocacy -
-create advocacy with local government, get open data (more) on the agenda - for example a local campaign around one set of datadsets.
-create visualizations, tell stories with the data
-build local programmes to request missing datasets by country (eg. Freedom of Information)
-write a blog post or news article about the state of open data in your country
-plan your open data day activities (plan a hackathon)
-use it for policy level discussions with govt leaders
-use it to increase knowledge of importance of open data
-take open data index data and compare to OGP statements for accountability and transparency
Research Ideas -
-download data and compare countries/compare regionally - For research
-compare progress (or lack of) year on year
- Comapre between types of datasets.
